The sanctity of the womb is as old as the human race itself and yet in the modern era where ideals of feminism and independence prevail, motherhood is that bold elephant in the room.
The womb carries traces of her children's DNA long after they are born, allowing the phrase "an elephant never forgets", take on a whole new meaning. Independence will always be at odds with the interdependence of a mother and her child.
As modern women we have been pimped and primed to empower ourselves with education, wealth and careers. Everyone loves and supports her when she's working it, contributing to society, contributing towards the home but suddenly no-one likes her when she reminds the world of what it owes her.
No-one questions how Governments squander public spending and now relies on the modern phenomena of working mothers to steal taxes from. Despite two incomes, families are financially struggling and children are suffering from State sponsored care, which is inferior to the love and stability of a Mother.
Mothers are the caretakers of the future, men fought wars to protect us and the ideals we impart in our children. Worldly credits have no use beyond the grave. The legacy of our genetics, the legacy of our love and the legacy of our values and culture lies in the survival of our progeny.
The lifestyle we construct for ourselves in our youth often becomes redundant in older age because Motherhood changes us from within. When a woman gives birth to a child she too is born anew. Change is necessary in order to experience a life well lived. Pleasure and pain are two sides of the same coin, one cannot exist without the other. Motherhood is a blessing but it's the hardest thing a woman can ever do.
Intelligence may be measured and rewarded with qualifications but wisdom is earned from instinct and life experience. To find something you love more than yourself is an opportunity of magnanimous growth. Motherhood is a Divine calling, an integral part to the evolution of you and the propagation of the human race.
Life is a sum of love and labour, not death and taxes.
