Ramadan at the Apothecary

This is my debut picture book written and illustrated by Fozia Jalali.

Ramadan at the Apothecary is a funny, whimsical tale about Abdullah the Bear, who works as an apprentice at Ghazala the Goat's Apothecary. Ramadan has arrived and Abdullah is keen to do good, helping patients with comical, spiritual ailments. However, Abdullah soon finds that his hospitality is tested by hunger and fatigue. Will Abdullah be able to keep his cool while fasting?

Learning lessons about patience, kindness and self-reflection this wonderful story features a cast of charming animal characters providing Muslim representation that is not bound by race or ethnicity, but a universally shared faith-tradition.
